Amy Winehouse Foundation

March 11th, 2012 by admin

It’s reported that it has been set up the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which will fund a scholarship at the theatre school where her voice was first nurtured.

“The scholarship would be awarded to a child who otherwise could not afford to attend, in keeping with the foundation’s aim of helping young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.” Amy’s father Mitch said.

The charity was also set up to help people suffering from substance abuse after Winehouse’s highly public, and eventually fatal battles with drink and drugs.

However the idea is great. Hope it wouuld help to talanted people who choose a hard way of musical career.

Top 10 Gitarists

November 28th, 2011 by admin

The entire list of Rolling Stone Top 10 gitarists includes:
Jimi Hendrix
Eric Clapton,
Jimmy Page,
Keith Richards,
Jeff Beck,
B.B. King,
Chuck Berry,
Eddie Van Halen,
Duane Allman
Pete Townshend

Pete Townshend of The Who writes, “I feel sad for people who have to judge Jimi Hendrix on the basis of recordings and film alone; because in the flesh he was so extraordinary…When he would walk toward the stage, nobody would really take much notice of him. But when he walked off, I saw him walk up to some of the most covetable women in the world. Hendrix would snap his fingers, and they followed him. Onstage, he was very erotic as well…There was a sense of wanting to possess him and wanting to be a part of him, to know how he did what he did because he was so powerfully affecting.”

It’s OK! ‘Cause Your Love Is My Love And My Love Is Your Love

September 1st, 2009 by admin

It’s all right!:-) Whitney Houston comes back! You know, it’s really great thing one has to celebrate when someone he or she loves the most comes back, right? So, one of my favorites, the Diva comes back and this news makes me happy. Since 1998′s “My Love Is Your Love” is still her best album as an accessible, elegant and entertaining collection of slick pop-soul songs, diva ballads and uptempo R&B jams. I love it. “I was not built to break,” she says. Steady!

[youtube="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhm48mp8q98"]

If tomorrow is a judgement day
And I’m standin’ on the front line
And the Lord ask me what I did with my life
I will say I spent it with you

If I wake up in World War 3
I see destruction and poverty
And I feel like I want to go home
It’s okay if you comin’ with me

If I lose my fame and fortune
And I’m homeless on the street
And I’m sleepin’ in Grand Central Station
It’s okay if you’re sleepin’ with me

As the years they pass us by
we stay young through each other’s eyes
And no matter how old we get
It’s okay as long as I got you babe

If I should die this very day
Don’t cry, cause on earth we wasn’t meant to stay
And no matter what people say
I’ll be waiting for you after judgement day

‘Cause your love is my love
and my love is your love
It would take an eternity to break us
And the chains of Amistad couldn’t hold us

Musical Events

February 5th, 2009 by admin

Just as love is the expression of harmony in life a favorite music is expression of harmony in sound. Don’t you know that when Mozart was composing his genius compositions at the end of the eighteenth century, the city of Vienna where he lived was so quiet that we just can’t imagine such silence – fire alarms was given verbally, by a shouting watchman mounted on top of St. Stefan’s Cathedral? But our time is today and obviously our music repeats the thoughts, inspirations, rhythms and sounds of the modern time. A silence is very good thing somewhere and sometimes, but a good music is no doubt much better one!

Annual Reading Festival just provides everybody a great chance on the way of meeting with the most loved musical bands and artists. Today you can get online not only any festival, concert, show or Reading Festival Information but to buy or sell tickets for any events with Seatwave allowing fan to fan ticket exchange and that’s great. All what you need is just to choose the concert you prefer and then to get Reading Festival 2009 Tickets in time.

It’s Mournfully. Jason Rae.

March 25th, 2008 by admin

As it is reported the husband of Grammy-nominated British singer Corinne Bailey Rae has been found dead. Police say Jason Rae was found in an apartment in the northern English city of Leeds on Saturday. Officers are awaiting results of toxicology tests to determine the cause of death.

A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of supplying him with drugs but has been released on bail, officials said. Thirty-one-year-old Jason Rae was a saxophonist with a funk band, the Haggis Horns.

Bailey Rae’s self-titled debut album sold more than 1 million copies in the U.S. after its release in 2006. She was nominated for song of the year at the Grammy Awards in both 2007 and 2008.
