Paul Simon. Fifty Ways to Leave Your Lover.

The problem is all inside your head, she said to me
The answer is easy if you take it logically
I’d like to help you in your struggle to be free
There must be fifty ways to leave your lover

She said it’s really not my habit to intrude
Furthermore I hope my meaning won’t be lost or misconstrued
So I repeat myself, at the risk of being crude
There must be fifty ways to leave your lover
Fifty ways to leave your lover

Just slip out the back, Jack, make a new plan, Stan
Don’t need to be coy, Roy, just listen to me
Hop on the bus, Gus, don’t need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee, and get yourself free

She said it grieves me so to see you in such pain
I wish there was something I could do to make you smile again
I said, I appreciate that, and could you please explain
About the fifty ways

She said, why don’t we both just sleep on it tonight
And I believe, in the morning you’ll begin to see the light
And then she kissed me and I realized she probably was right
There must be fifty ways to leave your lover
Fifty ways to leave your lover

Animals. The House Of The Rising Sun

September 5th, 2007 by admin

If to entrust to some original sources, exactly today, September 5, but 47 years ago “Animals” with their “The House Of The Rising Sun” became lider in music hit list. It happened in 1964 (oh my G!). Here, thanks to Youtube, we can look at them.

Roxette. Spending My Time.

What’s the time?
Seems it’s already morning.
I see the sky, it’s so beautiful and blue.
The tv’s on but the only thing showing
is a picture of you.

Oh I get up and make myself some coffee.
I try to read a bit but the story’s too thin.
I thank the Lord above
you’re not here to see me in this shape I’m in.

Spending my time,
watching the days go by.
Feeling so small,
I stare at the wall,
hoping that you think of me too.
I’m spending my time.
