Hawkins had originally intended to record “I Put a Spell on You” as a refined love song, a blues ballad. He reported, however, that the producer “brought in ribs and chicken and got everybody drunk, and we came out with this weird version. I don’t even remember making the record. Before, I was just a normal blues singer. I was just Jay Hawkins. It all sort of just fell in place. I found out I could do more destroying a song and screaming it to death.”

I put a spell on you
cause youre mine

You better stop the things you do
I aint lyin
No I aint lyin

You know I cant stand it
Youre runnin around
You know better daddy
I cant stand it cause you put me down

I put a spell on you
Because youre mine
Youre mine

I love ya
I love you
I love you
I love you anyhow
And I dont care
If you dont want me
Im yours right now

You hear me
I put a spell on you
Because youre mine

The Pussycat Dolls – Hush Hush

March 20th, 2009 by admin

[youtube="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mPtUoIo7f4"]

I never needed you to be strong
I never needed you for pointing out my wrongs
I never needed pain, I never needed strength
My love for you was strong enough you should have known

I never needed you for judgements
I never needed you to question what I spent
I never ask for help, I take care of myself,
I don’t know why you think you’ve got a hold on me

And it’s a little late for conversations
There isn’t anything for you to say
And my eye’s hurt, hand’s shiver,
So look at me and listen to me because

I don’t want too, stay another minute
I don’t want you, to say a single word
Hush, hush, hush, hush
There is no other way, I get the final say because,
I don’t want too, do this any longer
I don’t want you, there’s nothing left to say
Hush, hush, hush, hush
I’ve already spoken, our love is broken
Baby hush, hush

I never needed your corrections
On everything from how I act to what I say
I never needed words
I never needed hurts
I never needed you to be there everyday

I’m sorry for the way I let go
From everything I wanted when you came along
But I’m never beaten, broken not defeated
I know next to you is not where I belong

And it’s a little late for explanations
There isn’t anything that you can do
And my eye’s hurt, hand’s shiver,
So you will listen when I say

I don’t want too, stay another minute
I don’t want you, to say a single word
Hush, hush, hush, hush
There is no other way, I get the final say because,
I don’t want too, do this any longer
I don’t want you, there’s nothing left to say
Hush, hush, hush, hush
I’ve already spoken, our love is broken
Baby hush, hush

No more words, no more lies, no more crying
No more pain, no more hurt, no more trying

Yeaaaaahh
Because
I don’t want too, stay another minute
I don’t want you, to say a single word
Hush, hush, hush, hush
There is no other way, I get the final say because,
I don’t want too, do this any longer
I don’t want you, there’s nothing left to say
Hush, hush, hush, hush
I’ve already spoken, our love is broken
Baby hush, hush
I’ve already spoken, our love is broken
Baby

TORI AMOS live SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW

March 15th, 2009 by admin

Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high,
There’s a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby.
Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true.

Someday I’ll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far
Behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That’s where you’ll find me.

Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly.
Birds fly over the rainbow.
Why then, oh why can’t I?

If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can’t I?
